GENERAL INFORMATION

On Safari
Customarily hunting guests are accommodated in individual classic tented camps or thatched cottages. The en suite bathrooms of all accommodations contain hot and cold running water: incorportating showers, flush toilets and hand wash basins.

Fresh laundry is done daily with clothes pressed by coal irons.

A routine that has endured since the first adventures is upheld. Rising at dawn, a vigorous day away from the camp is completed with drinks and tales of one's safari exploits around the warm glow of the camp fire, followed by a traditional hearty meal prepared by capable and experienced resident camp cooks.

Local food, wine and beverages are supplied and inclusive in the daily rate, unless specified otherwise.

We are happy to cater to your specific dietary requirements wherever possible. A food preference form is supplied when a safari is booked.

Camp Power Supply
Camps are predominantly supplied by 220-240 volt power. It is important to pack a power converter should it be necessary. Video cameras and camera batteries can be charged from the power supply. 12-volt adaptors can also be used in the safari vehicles.

Light Aircraft Charter
Certain areas are accessible by light aircraft. Single Engine and Twin Engine aircraft are generally used. If you will be using a light aircraft to get in and out of camp, please remember to limit luggage size and to pack your clothing in a soft bag. Space restrictions and security reasons sanction these regulations.

Fly Camping
We can offer, upon special request, fly camping within your safari package. This is especially exhilarating on Elephant hunts. Elephant hunting demands great distances of walking and in such a case, fly camping can be both advantageous and part of the adventure.

Fly camping entails sleeping out in the bush for a couple of nights. Such essentials as drinking water and basic food supplies are carried. Meals will be cooked on open fires and bedrolls will be laid down in dome tents or under mosquito nets hung from tree branches.

Despite the absence of creature comforts, the elementary details do not go amiss. Small refrigerators, carried in the safari vehicles, allow you ice cold drinks and beers after a long day in the bush!

For the nostalgic hunter, this experience charts all that an old world safari stands for. This is humbling, invigorating and what memories are made of.

Guides
We employ qualifed professional hunting guides. They are licensed locally and are well versed in their profession.

Non-hunting guests
Non-hunting guests are most welcome and often they include the hunter's wife or partner. We gladly cater to these guests.
